Pictures of Godric Gryffindor
There have been two "official" images of Godric Gryffindor that I know of, one on a famous wizards card from a card game and the second featured as Wizard of the Month for July 2007 on JK Rowling's website.
This card is from a Harry Potter card game and I have read that it is a famous wizards card, and it is very similar to the Chocolate Frog Card that Harry holds of Albus Dumbledore in the movies. Gryffindor looks a bit younger in this picture than he does in the Wizard of the Month image. (To enlarge the image, please click on the thumbnail to the left).
Godric Gryffindor was featured on JK Rowling's official website as Wizard of the Month for July 2007. In this picture Gryffindor holds his sword and in the original flash image he would blink and move his fingers on top of the sword. Notice his large red hair, similar to the mane of a lion, which is his animal symbol. (To enlarge the image, please click on the thumbnail to the right).
